  • Emily Thompson

    Director of Youth ministries  -

Emily is originally from Upstate New York, but moved to Georgia when she was just four years old. She graduated from Georgia College and State University, and moved to sweet Historic Downtown Norcross after marrying her summer camp sweetheart, Thad, in 2015.  Emily has always had a special place in her heart for young people and worked with a few different youth groups during and after college. After Thad and Emily were married at Mt. Carmel, where Thad grew up, they started working together with this amazing crew of youth and selfless youth counselors every Sunday evening, and when the opening arose in 2016 for a new Youth Director Emily was excited for the opportunity that God had planted a seed for long before.

Emily smiles for stripes, iced coffee, Funfetti cupcakes, stationery, everything Christmas, and of course Jesus! Emily feels completely overwhelmed and blessed to get to spend time learning about Jesus with this amazing group of future-changers in their most transformative years – God is so, so good
