children

Children are an important part of our congregation. Jesus wanted children near him. They are not just the church of the future but part of the present body of Christ.

We welcome children in all worship services. God put the wiggle in children...don't feel like you need to suppress this in God's house. Check with an usher for an activity bag.

The 9:30 service begins with songs and stories for children of all ages. Children love when they can be a "Junior Usher" and help with the offering. After the children's sermon, Ms. Marian takes the children to Sunday School downstairs in our education building. At the 11:00 services, a nursery is provided for infants and toddlers and childcare for children under 6 years old.

children's sunday school

Sunday School is during the 9:30 service, which opens with songs for children of all ages. Children serve as Junior Ushers and help with the offering. After the children's sermon, we go downstairs to the children's wing together.

We gather in the double Sunday School classroom (Room 112) and the Children's Director, Marian Long, leads the children with a short Bible lesson, songs, and the Lord's Prayer. The children then go to age-appropriate Sunday School classes at 10:00 AM.
