Ellie Grogin’s Brownie Girl Scout Troop, # 3063, is hosting a Rain Barrel making workshop for Sustainable Norcross to earn our Wonders of Water Journey Share Badge.

The rain barrels are 55 – 60 gallon heavy duty white plastic recycled food grade drums and include self-contained kits for easy installation into an existing downspout.
Scouting at Mount Carmel
Scouts are active at Mt. Carmel nearly every day of the week. Special activities include banquets, service projects benefitting the church, Pinewood Derby, committee/leaders meetings, fundraisers, and "lock-ins". The regular weekly meetings are:
o BSA Troop 650 meets every Monday night, 7:30-9 PM, when school is in session in the Youth Hall
o Daisy Troop 2660 meets monthly on a Monday.
o Norcross Girl Scout Service Unit - Meets 2nd Tues. of the month
o Brownie Troop 1325 - meets several nights each month
o Cub Scout Pack 650 - most Dens meet on Thursday evenings in the pre-school classrooms (3 of 4 weeks per month). The monthly Pack meeting is held one Thursday a month in the Fellowship Hall.
o Jr. Girl Scout Troop 4548 meets once each month
o The Button Gwinnett District holds its Eagle Boards of Review at the Hope House the second Saturday of every month typically between the hours of 8:30AM and 1:00 PM. The number of Boards of review varies from one to six young men completing the final requirement to earn the rank of Eagle Scout.
o Cub Scout Pack 650 - one Den meets Sunday afternoons in the double Sunday School classroom
