Youth Ministry

The United Methodist Youth Fellowship (UMYF) is comprised of 6th to 8th graders (Mid-High) and 9th to 12th graders (Sr. High). The youth meet for supper, fellowship, and a program on Sunday evenings. They also plan and implement fund-raising activities and organize retreats and mission trips. Past mission retreats have included trips to Brazil, North Carolina and Montana. They have retreats that have included Stone Mountain, Six Flags and snow skiing in North Carolina. Sometimes they just simply talk about issues unique to their generation, and are able to do so in a safe, nurturing Christian environment. The UMYF is an invaluable resource for helping our youth to become leaders, to advocate their needs and to encourage them to participate in church planning and decision-making.
